Sweet Stories for Valentine’s Day

February is racing by after the what felt like a very l—o—n—g January. My family gave the Superbowl halftime show several thumbs up and we were also happy for Matthew Stafford.

I would love it if Cupid’s holiday always followed the fun of a Superbowl game. My family had football party invites, but we opted to stay low-key and eat junk food appetizers at home on T.V. trays. Just us in comfy sweats is my kind of Superbowl party.

Valentine’s Day on a Monday makes the start of the week feel a little less Monday-ish. Don’t you think?

My preschooler and second grader were having classroom parties. My older ones were excited to see friends. A sweet story I wrote was published in the Dakota Dunes/NSC Times in honor of V-Day last week.

All in all it is working out to be an extremely nice Monday.

To read my published piece, click here. It is about a fellow mom who was born on February 14th and has many great stories from childhood to adulthood about her birthday landing on Valentine’s.

Tessa and I know that Family Footnote has been a bit quiet lately. However, it is because we are busy and that was the whole point of this blog in the first place. To put ourselves and our writing out there so we could get noticed and keep writing, engaging, networking and working. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

And don’t worry, the mission will continue because writers can never not stop writing. Thank you to the readers who keep sharing the posts and finding our stories. Family Footnote would be lost without you.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
