Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Teens and Tweens

If you’re like me, you usually put off stocking stuffers until December 23rd-ish. Those adorable little socks that hang above the fireplace slip my mind each year. AND as my kids age, the dollar store no longer cuts it. I assume I am not alone in this endeavor, right? Finding stocking stuffers for teenage and tweenage children is tough SO, here are some ideas for all of us in this very angsty, unwieldy boat.

Charging Cables

My kids go through charging cables like laundry. Believe me when I say all five of us are getting charging cables in our stockings. I’m not sure if this is more of a gift for them or me, but my house eats these things like the dryer eats socks. I know I’ll get some cheers when they see Santa has provided new options to get power to their devices.

Neck LED Book Light

We readers are fighting over book lights like phone chargers. It seems we are always running out of book lights in my house. The Neck LED Booklight is a cool way to illuminate what you’re reading while not having to keep moving the light on your book. It sits around your neck making reading in the dark easy. Get some for your kids and one for yourself while reading Full House Full Hearts written by your Family Footnote authors!

Movie Scratch-Off Poster

If your child needs balance with the book reading, there is nothing like a good movie to escape. During quarantine, we’ve watched so many movies. I thought this scratch-off movie list gift from Uncommon Goods could be cool. It will make your kid goal-oriented and it allows for social distancing. Some movies may need to wait until he or she leaves for college, but it’s a great start for a winter of staying in.

Cable Bite Cable Protectors

Teens are rough on their phones and their charging cables. What better way to keep the cables lasting a while than with these adorable accessories. There are many sites that carry these, but I found them on Amazon for under 16 dollars. It’s a win for the parent and the child.

Two Pack Phone Card Holder Stretchy Lycra Wallet

My kids are always leaving the house with their phones and their earbud cases. This incredibly reasonable stocking stuffer comes with a place to put all of that and money as well. I know my boys will love this compact carrying case where they can hold all of the things they need in one spot. Hurray for compact convenience!

Easy Origami

I have an ornery middle child who loves art and needs a productive activity that involves crafting and not tormenting his older brother. This easy origami kit will be perfect for his creative energy and a great challenge for him as well. It’s cute, compact, and perfect for your child who needs something to do with all of his quarantine time.

The Office Talking Keychain

My funny middle child is also addicted to the old sitcom show The Office. And when I say addicted, I mean he’s currently on his third time through this incredible TV series. I can’t help but be proud of his sense of humor at such a young age, and he loves all things “Office”. Why not get your teen The Office talking keychain? Your child will be the funniest around and will have something to keep him or herself company when Netflix isn’t around.

Funny Socks

My kids love socks and they love the socks that have funny sayings or pictures on them. My younger two would wear shorts year-round if they could and pull these socks all the way up to their knees. You can get so many kinds of funny socks on Amazon. Here are some hilarious ones that may find their way into our stockings.

There you have it. I hope this gives you a head start on your stocking stuffers. Teens and tweens can be so hard to surprise, but the gifts mentioned should do the trick! Please tell us what you use to stuff stockings for your older children!
