Tessa’s Flash Fiction is in Print!

When I went back to school at 41 years of age, I never imagined how inspired I’d be by my classmates and professors. It was challenging and fulfilling to get 18 credit hours in writing. There were times I thought it was a rash decision–one I made hastily in the grips of quarantine–but what came out of this time in my life was a collection of creative work that occasionally finds itself in print. My story, Even at the Surface, did just that in the Made of Rust and Glass Anthology. The photo below foreshadows the story’s protagonist.

I’m honored to be one of the Midwest authors published in the anthology Made of Rust and Glass. My literary flash fiction is a different type of writing for me, and it was fun to break away from my comfort zone of blog writing and poetry. If you’d like a copy of this anthology, you can order it here through Barnes and Noble and here in print or e-book from Amazon. This story is for any adult who likes suspense and mystery. Here is an excerpt:

Please share with a friend who appreciates short fiction and would like to support the work of Midwestern writers. Thank you, friends!
